GRAND RE-LAUNCH!!! |
We're Back! NEW Owner and a Brand New Look!
Hi everyone and welcome to our new and re-improved website! I'm Erik Carlson, the new owner and creative director here at Mighty Politey. As a grown up I'm the Production Designer for Desperate Housewives™ on ABC. Mighty Politey is my opportunity to let my goofiness and inner child prevail.
We are very excited to present the new website, new offices and new organization. This website represents the new face of Mighty Politey. We think it's fabulous but we'd love to hear what you think of it. Naturally there's bound to be some kinks, so if something is giving you trouble make sure to get in touch and let us know!
And if you like what you see and you have a second...we'd certainly be grateful if you could forward our site to friends & family that you think might like our silly duds! Please help us spread the word!!

L-O-V-E this art! For those of you in the know...you're probably already familiar with Louis Cannizzaro's artwork. Each piece combines a childlike innocence with a make-your-heart-melt sentimentality. You already know I love words, people! Well, this boy knows exactly what I need to hear...and says it...on canvas! I've been a fan of his books for years (think they're the perfect gift!) and have recently started investing in pieces for my home...they're like little love letters just for me. You should treat yourself too before the rest of the world catches on. He's got quite a following already including some celebs...and if you look closely, you'll even see his fab works all over the mansion of The Apprentice Los Angeles this season! Lots of you have asked about the photos on our website; we're so happy that you like them!
The lovely and talented Angela Hubbard is responsible for all of our great shots. The kids loved her; she stayed out of their way for the most part and just let them do their own thing. It was brilliant! She does all sorts of photography and has been published in a number of different magazines. Some of my favorites are her wedding shots!

Music Suggestion: Check out The Low Stars! |
Next time you're at Starbucks getting your caffeine fix you absolutely must pick up the new Low Stars CD! Not only are these cuties my darling friends but they really do have the most beautiful voices ever!
You're going to love them. Quite simply, it's just really cool music...mellow but too mellow...peppy but not too peppy, and definitely soulful.
Their self-titled CD was just released on February 15th and is available at all Starbucks locations nationwide! And if you're a local...they're playing tonight at The Hotel Cafe! Hope to see you there...

Mighty Politey travels to Chile! |
Hola mi amigos! We're back in the offices after a week in South America! My big brother lives in Santiago, Chile so my father and I went to visit him. Have you been? There are some absolutely beautiful buildings there with just amazing architecture. Sooo many nice people too! We did lots of sightseeing, ate good food and drank great wine. Muy perfecto! I highly recommend a visit when you have the chance!

Oh my goodness...once again, I am the WORST blogger ever! Since we last spoke, Christmas and New Years have passed AND Mighty Politey had a birthday! It's true. New Year's Resolution #237...must try to find more time for blogging in 2007.

The candles are SO amazing! I personally love the Abundance line (Clarity is a favorite of mine.) but really, you should try them all. I wouldn't steer you wrong here. True, one of my beautiful friends is the brains behind the biz but even if she weren't, I'd be a fan. Promise. It's a great place to pick up some gifts for the holidays so you should really check it out!

New Artwork...I need your help! |
Hi everyone. Okay, so I'm working on some new ideas with my artist and am having the hardest time making decisions!! Thought I'd reach out to you all for some feedback.
There are so many variables that go into the decision making process...WAY too many to go into right this second. But first things first, I at least have to solidify my ideas. It's absolute crazy-making!!
These are the ones I'm working on for Spring...Top Dog, Sun Shine, Snuggle Bunny, Sweet Heart, and Cool Cat. The picture shows Top Dog w/ a red background so he'd be on a red t-shirt. I think he's pretty cute. What do you think? :-) |

Oh my goodness... I have to be the worst blogger EVER. I totally forgot to wish you guys Happy Thanksgiving! :-) Well Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
Are YOUR clothes fitting as tightly as MY clothes are these days??? Mom Politey and Tony Baloney (brother of Politey) were visiting for the big day and it was most fabulous. Let's just say that I consumed a wee too much butter over the week though...didn't help that Mom Politey made peach cobbler on her FIRST day here! No doubt about it though, even with the weight gain, it was perfecto!
Mom Politey was here from Florida and Tony Baloney came all the way from Chile! Check out their photo...if you click on it you can see a larger view. Don't tell my mom though...she's going to kill my brother for doing those bunny ears over her head!! Hee...hee... |
